The advancement towards high def cameras is now inevitable, Why use a an analogue camera which can only provide sub standard images when HDcctv cameras are now at a price point that makes them affordable to all.

Mega Pixel cameras allow incredibly detailed, high-definition footage to be viewed, stored and instantly recalled. HD CCTV gives you a far better chance of identifying a suspect in order to gain a conviction and offers numerous benefits to you over traditional analogue CCTV.

HD images can now be provided over IP and existing coax. If you are using HD SDi cameras then this will be a solution using coax if they are IP then cat5 will be required.

IFSEC 2013 is here and so is the HD Predator

IFSEC 2013 is upon us!

And one of our Site Sponsors, 360 Vision Technology, have given us a sneak preview of what they are up to up at the NEC this year!

Hybrid HD SDI DVR easing the transition

When HDcctv first came onto the market there was a good feeling about the technology but some in the industry doubted that installers would be able to persuade end users to convert their whole system to an HDcctv system. It was then that many manufacturers notably Everfocus decided that a hybrid HD SDI DVR could be a good stepping stone for installers to persuade their database of customers to move into the world of HD.

There have been two main formats of hybrid HD SDI DVR’s on the market. The 14/2 and the 4/4 ie 14 analogue and 2 HD SDI inputs or a straight 4 analogue and 4 HD SDI cameras on an 8 way unit.

The main reason for this approach was to allow customers to keep the majority of their analogue camera infrastructure but in places that were crying out for HD such as reception areas or gates and vehicle entrances customers could have HD quality.

The Hybrid HD SDI DVR is finding a foothold in the market place as is HDcctv equipment in general. So if you have an area of your site that demands better quality but you need to achieve this on a tight budget then an Hybrid HD SDI DVR is the sensible way forward.

 

WEBGATE looking to the future

Integrated CCTV would like to pass our congratulations onto HDcctv manufacturer Webgate. They have now produced and have just had certified the 50th HDcctv-compliant product.

The product we talk about is an optical transmitter/receiver pair and is an important addition to the HDcctv family. It has specific significance for designers of HDcctv-connected systems.
So who are Webgate?

Established in 1997, Webgate has always been at the forefront for new ideas within the world of security and surveillance. Reliable equipment and innovation has always been inherent within Webgate products. The advent of HDcctv has bought them to the forefront of this technology.
